Easter Egg Hunt on March 27
RCH and the South Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Co. invite the public to the 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt being held at RCH on Saturday, March 27. The start times are: 10 AM for children ages 2-5 and 10:30 AM for children ages 6-10. Children are requested to bring their own Easter baskets. There will be prizes by age category, a shiny fire truck to explore, a giant Easter Bunny distributing candy, face painting, and a jelly bean count contest. Rain cancels and there is no rain date.
Save the Date: 19th Annual Golf Classic Scheduled
Save the date! RCH's major fund-raising event, the annual Golf Classic, is scheduled for Monday, August 23, 2010 at the prestigious Forsgate Country Club, Banks Course, Monroe Twp., N.J. The annual event not only raises money which is used to purchase items that benefit our residents but also provides a day of fun and fellowship for participants. Caregivers Support Group Offered to the Public
RCH in conjunction with Care Alternatives, Hospice invites caregivers from surrounding communities to attend the monthly Caregivers Support Group which is held here on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 2 to 3:15 PM.The sessions are offered free of charge and provide a safe environment for caregivers to get the emotional support they need and obtain useful information from professionals. Facilitators are Rev. Barbara Jensen and Lora Speiser, SW, Care Alternatives. All unpaid area caregivers are welcome. Registration is required at 732-607-9230.

CMS Awards RCH 5-Stars in 2009 Nursing Home Rating
RCH proudly announces another 5-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The 5-star overall quality rating is the highest rating that can be awarded to a nursing home. It is based on the ratings given to a facility for Health Inspections, Quality Measures, and Staffing. Since only 10% of nursing homes are awarded 5-Stars, this rating

RCH Declared Finalist in NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes Program
NJBIZ magazine declared RCH a Finalist, Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility of the Year, in their 2009 Healthcare Heroes Program. This program recognizes individuals, organizations, and facilities that demonstrate heroic actions in the helathcare industry. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) just released quality ratings for each of the nation’s 15,800 nursing homes that participate in Medicare or Medicaid. Consulting with a panel of experts from academia, patient advocacy and nursing home provider groups, CMS developed the rating system based on each nursing home’s performance in three critical areas: health inspection surveys, quality measures, and staffing.
